Product Information
The Stylophone BEAT is a pocket-sized drum machine that condenses classic analogue drum synthesis into a portable format small enough to fit in a gig bag or jacket pocket. Built by Dubreq, the British maker behind the iconic Stylophone synthesiser, this battery-powered groovebox delivers vintage drum tones through 16 velocity-sensitive pads arranged in a four-by-four grid. The onboard sequencer runs up to 16 patterns, each holding 16 steps, with a tempo range that spans 60 to 240 BPM for everything from downtempo beats to rapid-fire breakbeats.
Eight analogue-modelled drum voices cover kick, snare, two toms, closed and open hi-hats, clap, and cymbal, each responding to pad velocity for dynamic performance control. A built-in speaker provides immediate playback, while the 3.5mm stereo output connects to mixers, audio interfaces, or headphones for silent practice and recording. The unit runs on three AAA batteries for untethered operation, and the included carry case protects the pads and controls during transport. Pattern chaining allows users to arrange sequences into full song structures, and the tap tempo function syncs the internal clock to external hardware without menu diving.
