The JBL KX190 is a professional–grade digital processor purpose–built for karaoke and integrated audio systems. Engineered by HARMAN's Professional Solutions division, it combines over 75 years of speaker design expertise with more than a decade of KTV system refinement. At its core sits a high–performance 32–bit/40–bit floating–point DSP processor delivering transparent audio processing across independent signal chains for vocals and music, with a dynamic range exceeding 100 dB.
The KX190 accommodates three microphone inputs via 1/4" unbalanced connectors, each with dedicated 15–band parametric EQ, compression, and three levels of feedback inhibition. Music input arrives via RCA or optical connectors and receives its own 15–band parametric equalisation. Six output channels—left, right, centre, surround left, surround right, and subwoofer—each carry independent EQ and compression, with the sub output fitted with 5–band parametric control. A/D conversion operates at 24–bit/48–kHz, with frequency response spanning 20 Hz to 20 kHz at ±1.0 dB and distortion below 0.06 percent across the entire audio band.
Venues running JBL Professional KTV speaker systems and Crown amplifiers will find the KX190 a natural fit, thanks to 15 factory presets tuned for these components. The PC GUI interface, accessed via USB 2.0, allows full parameter editing with up to 16 user presets saveable to memory. Separate echo and reverberation DSP engines support both dance and sing modes per microphone channel, switching manually or automatically. High–level external inputs accommodate DJ mixers and electronic instruments alongside traditional line–level sources.
