Epiphone

Founded by Anastasios Stathopoulos in Smyrna (now Izmir, Turkey), Epiphone has a rich history dating back to 1873. A maker of fiddles and lutes, Stathopoulos began producing mandolins in his factory in New York after moving to the United States in 1903. Following his father’s death in 1915, Epaminondas, known as "Epi", took over the company. In 1925, the brand began producing guitars, becoming such a fierce competitor in the market that in 1957 they were bought out by rival Gibson.

Today, Epiphone is recognised for its exceptional electric and acoustic guitars, basses, and accessories. With a wide range of styles and designs, Epiphone guitars cater to players of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals. The brand's commitment to craftsmanship is evident in each of its instruments, and its vintage models are highly sought after by collectors and players alike. Epiphone also offers a range of guitar accessories to help players get the most out of their instruments.
