Product Information
The Stylophone S-1 brings the iconic pocket synthesiser into the modern era with this Bowie Limited Edition, honouring the artist who propelled the original Stylophone into pop culture through his 1969 hit 'Space Oddity'. This battery-powered analog synthesiser pairs the classic metal keyboard with a stylus interface, delivering those unmistakable lo-fi tones that defined an era of electronic music. The S-1 expands on the vintage design with genuine analog circuitry, onboard effects, and MIDI connectivity for contemporary production workflows.
The analog sound engine features a voltage-controlled oscillator with adjustable pulse width modulation, switchable between standard and sub-oscillator modes for extended low-end response. Three envelope generators shape the amplitude, filter, and pitch modulation paths, while the low-pass filter adds resonance and tonal sculpting across a wide frequency range. Onboard delay, vibrato, and X-Mod effects provide textural variation without external processing. Standard MIDI input via 3.5mm TRS connection enables synchronisation with DAWs and hardware sequencers, while the built-in speaker and line output accommodate both desktop jamming and studio recording applications.
