Product Information
The Stylophone Gen X-2 brings true analogue synthesis to a pocketable form factor. Dubreq's latest iteration builds on the classic stylus-driven interface with a fully analogue signal path, dual oscillators, and onboard delay and modulation effects. The instrument runs on battery or USB power, making it as functional on stage as it is on the commute. This isn't a toy – it's a legitimate analogue synth that happens to fit in a backpack.
Two voltage-controlled oscillators generate square and pulse waveforms, with oscillator sync and pulse-width modulation shaping the tonal palette. The built-in low-pass filter provides resonance control, while the LFO offers triangle and square wave shapes for vibrato and modulation duties. An analogue delay circuit with feedback and time controls expands the sonic range beyond basic synthesis. The stylus-triggered ribbon controller spans three octaves, with selectable scales and a hold function that sustains notes without constant contact. Connectivity includes 3.5mm line output, headphone jack, and MIDI over USB for triggering external gear or DAW integration.
