The Sennheiser XSW 2 Wireless Receiver operates across the 606, 630 MHz frequency band (Band B), delivering reliable UHF transmission for live performance and presentation applications. This double superheterodyne receiver pairs with the included SKM 835-XSW handheld transmitter to provide up to 10 hours of wireless operation on two AA batteries. The system achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of ≥103 dB(A) with total harmonic distortion kept below 0.9%, ensuring clean audio reproduction across the 50, 16,000 Hz response range.
Sensitivity measures less than 3 μV at 52 dB(A)rms S/N, while the cardioid dynamic capsule captures 1.5 mV/Pa input sensitivity. Output options include both balanced XLR at +12 dBu and unbalanced 6.3 mm jack at +6 dBu for flexible connection to mixers and PA systems. The receiver's switchable squelch ranges from 3 dBμV to 28 dBμV via pilot tone, preventing interference during operation. Transmitter gain adjusts from 0 to -30 dB in 10 dB increments, allowing precise level matching to different vocal dynamics and stage volumes.
The rackmount receiver measures approximately 200 × 42 × 127 mm and weighs 680 g, with the included GA 1-XSW 2 mounting kit enabling installation in standard 19-inch racks. The NT 12-5CW power supply ships with country adapters, while the MZQ 1 microphone clip and two AA batteries complete the included package for immediate deployment in rehearsal rooms, houses of worship, and mobile sound reinforcement applications.
