Designed for speech applications demanding clarity and focused pickup, the Sennheiser ME-36 is a condenser capsule that pairs a supercardioid/lobar pattern with exceptionally low self-noise for the MZH Series gooseneck microphone system. Weighing just 17 grams and measuring 8.2mm in diameter by 96mm in length, this capsule connects to any MZH gooseneck module to provide highly directional sound capture in conference rooms, boardrooms, and live speech environments. The pre-polarised condenser transducer operates on phantom power from P12 to P48V, offering flexibility across a range of powered systems.
The supercardioid/lobar polar pattern delivers tight off-axis rejection, minimising ambient noise and feedback when multiple speakers are present or when microphones are positioned near loudspeakers. Equivalent noise level measures just 23 dB(A), ensuring clean, transparent vocal reproduction even in critical recording and broadcast scenarios. Electrical specifications include a 50-ohm impedance with a minimum terminating impedance of 1 kilohm, maintaining signal integrity across long cable runs and diverse mixing console inputs. The capsule ships with an MZW 36 windscreen and quick guide, and integrates with the full range of MZH gooseneck lengths and mounting accessories.
