Product Information

Roland's latest Boutique instrument delivers up to 56 voices of polyphony through a dual-layer wavetable architecture, combining sequences of single-cycle digital waveforms with proprietary wave shaper processing for harmonic manipulation beyond traditional synthesis methods. This compact wavetable synthesiser includes the K-25m keyboard dock, built-in speaker, and runs on four AA batteries or USB-C power. Two-part multitimbral capability supports dual and split modes across upper and lower sections, each with independent wavetable layer blending and shaping controls for animated textures and evolving timbres.

The synthesis engine features oscillator modulation with multiple sources controlling wavetable position, layer balance, pitch and shaping parameters, plus a spread control for stereo imaging expansion. Filtering options include drive-enhanced analogue modelling and vintage-inspired filter models from classic Roland synthesisers. Processing depth extends through an MFX engine with 17 effect types including the JUNO chorus, dedicated delay, and five reverb types with a shimmer mode that applies octave-shifted harmonics. A step LFO, motion recording, and menu-driven parameter access provide advanced sound design tools, while the two-part, 64-step polyphonic sequencer handles up to eight notes per step.

Traditional MIDI input and output connects with hardware devices, while USB-C provides audio and MIDI interfacing for computer-based production. External clock input accommodates analogue workflow integration. The arpeggio function generates rhythmic patterns on demand, and the top-panel interface balances immediate hands-on control with deeper menu access for sophisticated programming.
