Product Information
The Fender Player II Telecaster in Oxblood sits at the intersection of classic American design and modern playability. Built on a chambered body–available in swamp ash, mahogany, or alder–this solidbody electric retains the single–cut geometry that’s defined the Telecaster since 1950. Fender’s Player II line represents a deliberate shift away from entry–level compromises, coupling updated pickup designs and hardware with construction choices that reward both bedroom work and gigging demands.
The rosewood fingerboard features a 9.5” radius with hand–rolled edges, a specification that supports fluid soloing and choke–free bends without sacrificing fretting precision. Underneath, the Modern “C” neck profile sits at the sweet spot for comfort across picking techniques and left–hand positions. Electronics rely on Player Series pickups–redesigned for higher output and tonal definition compared to earlier iterations–paired with a string–through–body bridge fitted with block steel saddles for intonation stability. ClassicGear™ tuning machines handle the mechanical side, offering an 18:1 gear ratio that eases fine–tuning without sacrificing vintage aesthetics.
