Product Information
The Epiphone Wilshire P-90S is a solid-body electric guitar that traces its lineage back to 1959, when Epiphone first introduced the original Wilshire model. This Ebony finish version combines a symmetrical double-cutaway mahogany body with dual PRO P-90 Soapbar pickups—the defining feature that gives the guitar its warm, articulate voice. The design draws directly from classic Epiphone originals, updated with modern hardware and included gig bag.
The mahogany neck uses a medium C profile with a 12-inch radius Indian laurel fretboard and 22 medium jumbo frets. It sits 628 mm scale length with a 43 mm nut width. Electronics consist of two volume and two tone controls with CTS potentiometers routed through a three-way toggle switch. Hardware includes a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, paired with Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines fitted with ivory buttons. This configuration keeps the guitar stable across tuning changes and heavy play.
The P-90 Soapbar pickups deliver the thick, organic response that makes this guitar work equally well for blues, rock, and garage styles. That character comes from the pickup's larger coil design and alnico magnets—different from the brighter humbuckers found on many mid-range electrics. Musicians after genuine single-coil warmth without the noise floor will find the P-90s the more direct path.
