Product Information
EMG's 35P4X is an active 4-string bass pickup engineered for players who demand clarity and punch without compromise. Built on decades of active pickup design, this unit combines a ceramic magnet structure with onboard preamp circuitry to deliver controlled output and extended frequency response. The 35P4X sits at the bridge position of precision bass guitars, capturing the aggressive, articulate tone that defines modern bass playing across genre lines.
The pickup features EMG's proprietary active electronics, operating across a frequency range that extends lows and tightens mids for definition in dense mix environments. At 4 strings, the coil configuration is optimised for balanced output and minimal hum rejection across standard tuning ranges. The unit accepts standard P-bass mounting hardware and connects via a 3-conductor shielded cable to onboard active circuitry. Output impedance and gain are calibrated for integration with both vintage tube rigs and modern solid-state amplification without requiring additional buffering or conditioning.
