D'Addario XPND Core 01 Expansion Kit

D'Addario's XPND Core 01 is a fixed–format pedalboard designed as an upgradeable foundation rather than a finished product. Unlike fully adjustable platforms, Core strips away complexity and delivers a straightforward, lightweight base that prioritises signal integrity and cable organisation. The non–adjustable architecture means fewer variables affecting tone, whilst the integrated cable management system keeps leads routed cleanly—essential for touring rigs where reliability matters more than flexibility.

The PW-XPNDCORE-01 measures 13.25" wide by 5.5" long, making it genuinely portable without sacrificing real estate for four to six pedals depending on footprint. A larger PW-XPNDCORE-02 variant stretches to 16.7" by 12.5" for deeper signal chains. Both come pre–mounted with hook and loop strips rated for secure pedal placement, and the foundation accepts D'Addario's XPND expansion hardware when additional adjustability becomes necessary. Assembly is required out of the box.

The upgrade pathway sets Core apart from conventional fixed boards. Rather than replacing hardware entirely, users can transform Core into a fully adjustable XPND system by adding the expansion kit–—a genuine value proposition for players whose needs evolve from bedroom setup to active gigging. Cable management features throughout prevent signal degradation from routing chaos, and the hook and loop system allows rapid pedal swaps without permanent modification.
