Product Information
Recording acoustic drums has always meant juggling multiple microphones, stands, mixers, and cables before hitting record. The Alesis Kitstream mounts directly to a kick drum and combines stereo microphone capture, an integrated kick trigger, and USB-C connectivity in a single unit that eliminates traditional multi-mic setups. This acoustic drum capture and streaming system gets drummers recording, livestreaming, or creating content within minutes of unboxing.
The built-in stereo microphone captures the full acoustic kit whilst the integrated kick drum trigger provides accurate low-end response. USB-C connection delivers audio and power through a single cable. Beyond straight recording, the system functions as a hybrid platform with 500 onboard sounds, integrated effects processing, and support for user sample imports. Trigger expansion options and an external microphone input allow drummers to layer electronic sounds with acoustic performance. The package includes Ableton Live Lite and a 90-day Drumeo subscription for recording, production, and lesson access.
Applications range from drum cover recording and lesson streaming to practice sessions with backing tracks and hybrid kit construction. The compact form factor eliminates the space and setup demands of conventional multi-mic recording rigs. Content creators gain immediate access to recording and livestreaming capabilities without requiring separate interfaces, mixers, or extensive signal routing knowledge.
