Product Information
Originally developed by Kerope Zildjian in 19th Century Turkey, the K Series sound continues in this 24 inch light ride cymbal from Zildjian. The thin weight construction delivers the deep, dry, and shimmering character that made K cymbals the choice of jazz legends like Art Blakey, Elvin Jones, and Tony Williams. A medium bell balances the thin body, creating a broad tonal palette with robust overtones and the traditional hand–hammered finish that defines the K aesthetic.
The 24 inch diameter provides extended wash and sustain while maintaining clarity across playing dynamics. This light ride works equally well in intimate trio settings where its dark, complex overtones can breathe, and in rock contexts where the larger size cuts through dense band mixes. The traditional finish reflects Zildjian's original manufacturing techniques, contributing to the cymbal's dry attack and quick decay characteristics that drummers have relied on for generations.
