Product Information
The Zildjian S 20" Thin Crash belongs to Zildjian's value–conscious S Series, engineered to deliver articulate, responsive cymbal voice without premium pricing. Thin crashes cut through mix with fast attack and controlled sustain, making them reliable workhorses for drummers across rock, pop, and fusion contexts. The 20" diameter sits between the cutting edge of an 18" and the fuller presence of a 22", offering balanced projection suitable for club gigs and recording studios alike.
Constructed from B8 bronze alloy—the industry standard comprising 92 per cent copper and 8 per cent tin—this crash produces warm midrange character without excessive wash. The thin weight designation means less mass concentrating at the bow, allowing faster response to stick articulation and gentler dynamic control. Bell tone remains defined, whilst the overall frequency response favours clarity in dense arrangements where definition matters more than dark undertones.
