Product Information

The Yamaha YEV105 is a five-string electric violin designed to bring extended range and amplified performance to violinists moving beyond acoustic limitations. Its low C string expands the tonal palette down into viola territory, opening new harmonic and melodic possibilities. The frame construction eliminates feedback issues common to amplified acoustic violins, while the solid body design offers consistent tone across all dynamic levels and performance environments.

The instrument features a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, delivering warm, resonant tone through its proprietary piezo pickup system. An active preamp provides volume and tone controls mounted directly on the body, giving players immediate tonal shaping without external processing. The ebony fingerboard and chinrest offer familiar playing surfaces, while the abalone inlay position markers provide clear visual reference under stage lighting. Included accessories comprise a gig bag, headphones, rosin, and an auxiliary cable for direct monitoring or recording.
