The Yamaha SS9WR is a heavyweight, double–braced snare stand engineered for working drummers who need rock–solid stability and tonal accuracy across multiple drum sizes. Yamaha's patented Flip Grip Basket expands to accommodate drums from 10″ to 14″, eliminating the need for multiple stands while maintaining secure clamping force. The Ball Clamp Tilter allows stepless angle adjustments across the full range of motion, and Tone–Enhancing Basket Rubber isolates the drum shell from vibration interference that can choke sustain and resonance.

The double–braced leg assembly distributes weight evenly across three contact points, each fitted with large rubber feet that convert to retractable metal spikes for outdoor stages or carpeted rehearsal rooms. An ergonomic Snare Basket Adjustment Knob with integrated grip pattern locks the basket diameter in place without tools, allowing fast changeovers between different drum sizes.
