Product Information

The BBP35 represents the pinnacle of Yamaha’s iconic BB bass lineup—a 5-string workhorse designed for serious players who demand premium tone, craftsmanship, and performance. Handcrafted in Japan by Yamaha’s expert luthiers, this instrument builds on over four decades of evolution, delivering powerful resonance and a rich, organic voice tailored for the modern stage and studio.

The alder/maple/alder body construction is enhanced by Yamaha’s exclusive I.R.A. (Initial Response Acceleration) treatment, which releases stresses in the wood for improved resonance and a played-in feel from day one. A six-bolt miter neck joint and five-piece maple/mahogany neck ensure rock-solid stability and superb vibration transfer, while YGD custom V7 pickups provide classic BB punch with dynamic range and clarity across all five strings.

With a convertible Vintage Plus bridge, lightweight open-gear tuners, and refined Japanese build quality, the BBP35 delivers timeless tone and next-level playability in one road-ready instrument.
