Product Information

The Yamaha ARIUS YDP-146 is an 88-key digital piano built for players stepping up from basic keyboard instruments or starting their piano journey. Yamaha's Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) weighted keyboard mimics acoustic piano action—heavier in the low end, lighter in the treble—forcing genuine technique development from day one. The CFX concert grand piano sample delivers the tonal depth needed for both classical pieces and contemporary arrangements without the furniture footprint of a traditional upright.

Sound emerges from a 12 cm stereo speaker system with newly designed diffusers that distribute audio evenly across the room, backed by dual 8W amplifiers for clean, balanced output at working volumes. Virtual Resonance Modelling Lite adds sympathetic string resonance to sustain notes, while the "ear-saving" headphone mode reduces high frequencies to prevent listener fatigue during extended silent practice sessions. Bluetooth Audio and MIDI connectivity open the door to wireless pairing with tablets and smartphones running notation apps or DAWs. Ten additional instrument voices span strings, organs, and synths for exploring beyond piano sounds, supplemented by 353 built-in songs for structured practice and repertoire discovery.

The YDP-146 ships with a matching piano bench, minimising setup friction for bedroom producers and early-stage gigging musicians who need responsive weighted keys without committing to bedroom real estate or budget reserved for other gear. Smart Pianist app compatibility gives on-screen control of sounds and reverb parameters without menu diving.
