Product Information
Vic Firth's Balter Pro Vibe mallets are concert–grade percussion tools built for players who demand reliable articulation across the entire vibraphone range. The rattan handle brings warmth and control to every stroke, while the medium–hardness cord–wound head delivers the tonal balance that's made this mallet a studio and stage standard. At 15.5 inches long, this is the weight and feel that works whether you're tracking in the bedroom or performing live.
The cord winding on the blue head provides enough substance to cut through without harshness, making it equally effective on mallets struck hard or soft. Medium hardness sits in the sweet spot between brightness and warmth–not so soft that tone muddies, not so hard that it creates brittle attacks. Rattan construction offers natural compliance and durability, resisting the splitting and splintering that softwoods can develop under heavy use. This is why session players and working gigging musicians reach for this profile repeatedly.
