Product Information
Vic Firth's Balter BCM2 is a medium chime mallet built for players who need genuine tonal flexibility without swapping mallets mid–session. The double–sided head features a leather striking surface on one end and high–impact material on the other, giving keyboard players access to both warm and bright articulations from a single tool. A maple handle keeps the weight balanced and responsive, essential when precision matters on the kit.
The 1.50” head sits at the medium sizing sweet spot–large enough to engage the full note, compact enough for controlled attack on tighter passages. Maple construction throughout delivers durability without the fatigue that heavier mallets introduce during extended rehearsals or performances. The leather–and–synthetic pairing means players can dial in texture across the dynamic range: softer leather tones for sustained passages, snappier synthetic response for articulate lines.
