Product Information

Taylor's Gold Label 712e is a compact Grand Concert acoustic–electric built on heritage principles with contemporary refinement. The model pairs a torrefied Sitka spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides, yielding a tonally versatile instrument that adapts across fingerstyle, flatpicking and strumming applications. Fanned V-Class bracing with tonal rout amplifies volume, sustain and resonance across the frequency spectrum, whilst the slender Action Control Neck and long–tenon joint deliver warmth and microadjustability without compromise.

Construction centres on neo–tropical mahogany neck fitted with West African crelicam ebony fretboard and cream crest inlays, scaled at 24 7/8" with 1 3/4" nut width for balanced playing geometry. The body features cream binding and matching rosette trimmed in black, Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge with matching pins, and white TUSQ nut paired to white Micarta saddle for reliable intonation. Electronics integrate LR Baggs Element VTC preamp, enabling studio–ready amplification without tone colouration. The natural gloss finish and cream hardware reinforce its throwback aesthetic, whilst the included British Cocoa deluxe hardshell case ensures transport protection.

Fingerstyle players will gravitate toward the top–end clarity and sparkle this tonewood pairing produces, whereas the rich low–end presence and blooming harmonic character appeal equally to strummers seeking dynamic responsiveness. The slightly increased body depth over standard Concert dimensions accommodates players of varying statures without sacrificing the model's compact, session–ready footprint.
