Product Information
Taylor's 112ce is a left-handed Grand Concert acoustic–electric built on the premise that a smaller body needn't compromise on tone or playability. The model pairs a solid torrefied spruce top with layered sapele back and sides, delivering a balanced, punchy character suited to fingerstyle work without sacrificing projection. Taylor's factory support and limited lifetime warranty underpin the instrument's position as a reliable workhorse for players transitioning from bedroom setups to live performance.
Construction centres on torrefied spruce–a thermally treated top that yields aged-in sweetness and clarity while retaining the structural integrity of traditional spruce. Mahogany or maple neck options sit paired with either ebony or eucalyptus fretboards (depending on availability), while the Venetian cutaway provides soft, rounded lines suited to upper-fret access. The Expression System® 2 electronics employ behind-the-saddle pickup design to capture the guitar's dynamic properties when plugged into amplifier or PA. A lightweight gig bag and D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze light strings (.012–.053 gauge) ship included.
The compact body footprint and slim neck profile with low action accommodate players seeking a relaxed fretting experience without sacrificing acoustic depth. Fingerstyle players benefit from the torrefied spruce's articulate response, whilst flatpickers and strummers appreciate the punchy character and tonal balance. The cutaway configuration expands playable range whilst maintaining the Grand Concert's inherent suitability for seated, detail-oriented performance.
