The Tanglewood TB4–CE Super Folk Left–Hand Acoustic Electric addresses a genuine gap in the market: quality instruments built around left–handed ergonomics, not retrofitted versions of right–handed designs. The Super Folk Cutaway body shape positions the upper bout to suit southpaw players, enabling comfortable fret access across the entire fingerboard. Built by Tanglewood’s UK–based luthiers, this model prioritises balanced playability alongside acoustic projection and amplified versatility.
Construction centres on a solid mahogany top paired with mahogany back and sides, a tonewood combination that yields warm low–end response and articulate treble definition. The engineered–wood fingerboard provides stable fret platform and reduced maintenance overhead. Electronics consist of the Tanglewood Premium Plus EQ system, which houses onboard tone shaping controls for sculpting output across strummed and fingerstyle applications. The Smokestack Satin finish protects the grain whilst maintaining visual clarity and a non–reflective stage presence.
