Product Information

Tama's Iron Cobra 900 Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand (model HH905D) applies the company's signature lever-action engineering to two-leg design, ditching the traditional pull mechanism for roller-bearing smoothness. A Kevlar® strap connects footboard to pull rod, while the compact dual-leg footprint folds flat for transport–making the stand genuinely portable without sacrificing stability. The Quick-Set clutch detaches with a single button press, letting the top cymbal float freely and resonate naturally.

Height adjusts from 745mm to 960mm using the standard tension rod, or 745mm to 810mm with the included short rod, covering most player heights and kit configurations. The Oiles® bearing hinge distributes load across two-piece construction rather than one, reducing stress and maximising pedal responsiveness. Tension rods sit protected inside the upper tube when not in use–the Spare-The-Rods design prevents bending during transport. A non-loosening plastic-and-metal nut assembly keeps the cymbal rod secure during play, while 6-way tension adjustment and footboard angle tuning match most double-pedal setups. Duo-Spike feet switch between rubber and metal (using a standard drum key) to prevent stand migration on wooden or concrete floors. The complete assembly weighs 5.2kg.

The tilt system loosens via a single T-bolt, allowing cymbal angle adjustment for expressive techniques without full reconfiguration. Glide-Tite grip joint technology uses metal-to-metal contact points for isolation, meaning the stand remains anchored while the instruments resonate independently–a detail that matters for hi-hat definition in recorded and live contexts alike.
