Product Information
Tama's Imperialstar line has long occupied the middle ground between entry–level kits and professional setups, and this five–piece configuration in Sky Blue Mist continues that philosophy with a solid foundation of Stage Master double–braced hardware and an Iron Cobra 200 bass drum pedal. The 22" bass drum anchors a compact footprint suitable for rehearsal spaces, small venues, or bedroom recording setups without sacrificing acoustic presence.
Construction centres on 8mm, 6–ply poplar shells paired with Tama Precision Bearing Edges, which contributes to consistent tuning and sustained tonality across the kit. The configuration comprises a 22" × 18" bass drum, 10" and 12" toms, a 16" floor tom, and a 14" × 5" snare; matching wood hoops on the bass drum unify the aesthetic whilst the Omnisphere Tom Holder and small original lugs keep the silhouette compact. Hardware components include double tom holder, hi–hat stand, snare stand, and both boom and straight cymbal stands, eliminating the need for separate purchases.
Drummers integrating this kit into existing rigs will find it scales effectively–the 22" bass drum sits at the lower end of common sizes, making it practical for portable touring or session work where space and transport are constraints. The Stage Master double–braced hardware is known for stability during extended sessions, whilst the Iron Cobra 200 pedal offers responsive feel and durability without requiring premium maintenance protocols.
