Product Information
The patented EndurNeck™ profile is the defining feature of this five–string bass from Swedish maker Strandberg, promoting a natural hand position that reduces fatigue during extended sessions. This headless design eliminates the weight imbalance common to traditional basses, repositioning all tuning hardware to the body for superior balance and comfort whether seated or standing. The Boden Bass Standard 5–String in Black Metallic combines the company's signature ergonomic body sculpting with a lightweight construction that makes marathon rehearsals and multi–set gigs feel effortless. Each instrument receives a detailed premium setup beyond standard quality control, ensuring stage–ready playability straight from the case.
The ergonomic body shape features strategic contours and bevels designed for unrestricted fretboard access across all 24 frets, while the headless configuration keeps the centre of gravity close to the player's body. The five–string layout extends tonal range downward without compromising the fast, fluid neck feel that defines the EndurNeck™ geometry. Black Metallic finish covers the uniquely shaped body, which eliminates unnecessary mass while maintaining structural integrity. Hardware and electronics undergo rigorous testing and inspection as part of Strandberg's quality control programme, with full performance checks validating functionality before shipping.
