This loyalty upgrade brings the Horizon One closed-back headphone to existing VSX owners at a special price, stepping up from the original VSX model with a 50mm dynamic driver built for ultra-low distortion and exceptional detail. Steven Slate Audio pairs high-grade aluminium construction with figured maple wood earcups, creating a closed-back companion to the open-back Immersion One. The driver is engineered to deliver clarity across 20Hz–20kHz, making it a precision tool for tracking and referencing when isolation matters.
The 50mm dynamic driver runs at 32Ω impedance with 107 dB sensitivity, providing enough output for direct connection to interfaces and portable devices without additional amplification. Circumaural leather earpads and the closed-back design provide physical isolation during recording sessions. Each unit ships with a detachable 190cm Y cable terminated in 3.5mm, a ¼" adapter, and a softshell case. Every purchase includes an MSX Speaker Modelling System licence, which extends VSX-style speaker emulation to Apple AirPods Pro generations 1 through 3.
The Horizon One connects directly to any existing VSX Essentials or Platinum software licence without requiring reinstallation or relicensing—owners simply plug in and reference through the same interface they already use. This upgrade kit covers the headphone hardware, cable, case and MSX licence only. A VSX software licence is not included, so those new to the platform should start with the Essentials or Platinum Edition instead.
