Product Information
The Snark ST-8 HPT is a clip-on chromatic tuner engineered for any instrument that produces audible pitch. Snark's HPT (High Precision Tuner) technology distinguishes this model through dual sensing capability–users select between microphone input or vibration detection depending on environment and instrument type. The clip-on form factor and compact footprint make it suitable for live performance, studio work, and rehearsal spaces where traditional pedal tuners aren't practical.
The ST-8 HPT accommodates the full chromatic scale, capturing frequencies across standard instrument ranges from bass to treble instruments. Dual sensor modes allow switching between airborne sound capture via built-in microphone and direct vibration sensing through the clip mechanism–particularly valuable in loud venues or when tuning acoustic instruments without amplification. The tuner features a bright, readable display calibrated for both indoor and stage lighting conditions, with rotation capability to suit different clip angles and instrument geometries.
