Product Information

The Shubb C5 is a capo designed for banjo, mandolin, and bouzouki, built by a maker with four decades of refinement in capo engineering. Its over-centre locking mechanism combines power, speed, and accuracy in a single motion—flip the lever down to lock, flip it up to release. Machined from solid brass and available in polished nickel, brushed nickel, Royale Gold, Royale Rose Gold, and Noir Black, it's built to last through years of gigging and studio sessions.

The C5's soft, resilient rubber pad works like a fingertip, pressing strings straight down without bending them over the frets or pulling them off centre. This geometry eliminates the tuning drift common to cheaper capos. The roller design reduces wear on strings and frets whilst maintaining consistent pressure across all strings. The titanium–plated gold finishes offer genuine durability without the wear–through problems of traditional gold plating. Black chrome plating on the Noir variant provides a stealthy aesthetic that pairs with dark hardware or instruments.

Serious musicians choose the Shubb for its track record: it stays in tune between songs, handles rapid key changes without re-tuning, and won't rattle or shift under pressure. Whether on a bedroom recording, a pub gig, or a session, the C5 handles the job without fuss.
