Product Information
Seymour Duncan's Lipstick Tube for Strat brings Danelectro's signature crisp jangle into a drop–in Stratocaster format. Hand–built in Santa Barbara, this silver–cover pickup marries the snap and articulation of vintage lipstick designs with the dynamic response players expect from a Strat. The result is sharp, shimmery rhythm tones and snarly overdriven leads packed with gritty brilliance.
The middle–position version employs reverse–wound, reverse–polarity construction to cancel hum when paired with neck or bridge pickups in positions 2 and 4. An Alnico 5 bar magnet and vacuum wax potting eliminate squeals and feedback. The modified mounting bracket drops into any standard Strat slot without routing. Dimensions are 10 cm wide, 7 cm tall, and 4 cm deep, weighing 225 grams. It ships with 2–conductor shielded lead wire and fits standard Strat cavities without modification.
This pickup thrives in players chasing jangly, articulate clean tones for rhythm work or those wanting grit and presence in leads without sacrificing note definition. Studio engineers appreciate the controlled breakup and the hum–cancelling middle position option for tracking without noise.
