The Samson MBA18 is a telescopic desktop microphone boom arm designed to bring flexible mic positioning to podcasters, voice–over artists, and home studio operators working at a desk or table. The arm extends to a maximum horizontal and vertical reach of 18 inches, offering enough span to position dynamic or condenser microphones precisely where they're needed without crowding the workspace. Its C–clamp mount grips surfaces up to 2 inches thick, securing the arm to desktops, tables, or studio furniture with a firm hold that won't slip during recording sessions.
Constructed from iron and plastic, the MBA18 uses a telescoping design that allows quick adjustment of mic height and distance. The arm terminates in a standard 5/8–inch–27 thread, compatible with most microphone shock mounts and clips on the market. It supports microphones weighing up to 2.2 kilograms, accommodating everything from lightweight podcast mics to heavier large–diaphragm condensers. The clamp's 2–inch maximum grip suits most standard desk thicknesses, and the telescoping mechanism locks securely to prevent drooping under load during extended recording or broadcast work.
