The Rycote Windjammer for Sennheiser MKE 400 Mini (model RYC055364) is a foam windscreen engineered to suppress wind noise on a compact camera–mounted condenser microphone. Rycote's design philosophy centres on practical noise reduction without colouration of the source signal. This acoustic foam layer sits directly over the MKE 400 Mini's capsule, addressing the primary vulnerability of portable condensers in outdoor recording environments.

The Windjammer comprises Rycote's open–cell acoustic foam, a material chosen for its ability to dissipate wind turbulence whilst maintaining transparent frequency response. The foam shell fits snugly over the cylindrical body of the MKE 400 Mini, a 135 mm microphone designed for mounting on DSLR and mirrorless cameras via standard accessory shoes. The Windjammer adds minimal mass and does not interfere with the microphone's internal electronics or output impedance. Effective wind rejection improves considerably in moderate to strong breeze conditions without requiring additional power or processing.
