The Remo CS-0114-10 Controlled Sound Coated White Dot is a 14" drumhead engineered for drummers seeking a balanced blend of articulation and sustain. Remo's Controlled Sound series delivers a warm, focused tone with reduced overtones—the coated finish adds durability and mellows the attack without sacrificing response. The white dot reinforcement patch at the head centre controls resonance and provides a sweet spot for optimal stick rebound.

Constructed from a single ply of 10-mil polymer film, the Controlled Sound coated head resists denting and maintains tuning stability across extended sessions. The underside dot patch serves double duty: it dampens unwanted high-frequency content whilst promoting clear fundamental pitch. This combination makes the head equally comfortable on snare drums, tom racks, or kick drums where punch and articulation matter. The coated surface wears longer than clear heads and suits brushwork well for jazz and softer playing styles.
