Remo 8.5" Tucked Nuskyn Bongo Head

The Remo 8.5" Tucked Nuskyn Bongo Head (model M9-0850-N6) is a replacement drumhead engineered for players who demand durability and tonal control. Remo's patented tucked technology represents the most robust construction available in bongo head design, while Nuskyn® film delivers a weather-resistant synthetic surface that eliminates frequent maintenance. The 8.5" size fits a broader range of full-sized bongo drums across major manufacturers, making it a practical upgrade for players using various instrument brands.

Nuskyn® construction prioritises natural, warm tone characterised by enhanced low and mid-range frequencies, with minimal high-pitched overtones that can muddy articulation. The film's durability makes it suitable for players who prefer high-tension tuning without risking head failure. Unlike traditional animal-skin heads, Nuskyn® remains stable across temperature and humidity fluctuations, particularly valuable in Australia's variable climate. The tucked design concentrates all shell contact around the perimeter, distributing tension evenly and extending effective lifespan under aggressive playing.
