Product Information
A 26.5-inch scale length gives the PRS Tekton SVN 7 String added string tension and low-end clarity, which is exactly what a seven-string needs when the low B is doing real work. It's the first seven-string in the American-made PRS catalogue, built on the thin-bodied Tekton platform. A figured mango top over a mahogany back, plus a shallow violin carve and upper-fret scoop, keeps it light and comfortable through long sessions.
PRS Stylus SVN humbuckers were voiced specifically for the Tekton family, using Alnico 5 magnets and a lower output than some genre-focused pickups. The result is definition across the frequency range, even under high gain, whether the signal runs to a tube amp, modeller or recording rig. Split sounds stay usable in every position. The Modern “D” SVN neck carries stainless steel frets over a 16-inch radius ebony fingerboard, measuring 1 29/32-inch at the nut and 2⅝-inch at the body.
The hardtail bridge uses individual saddles for intonation and a string-through design for added resonance and sustain. Phase III locking tuners hold pitch steadily, and PRS Signature 10–59 strings come fitted. The Black Tourmaline colourway sits alongside Slate Blue, Imperial Topaz, Violet Tourmaline, Bloodstone Red and Fuchsia Aura in the range. A PRS Premium gig bag is included.
