John Mayer's passion for vintage Land Rover Defenders meets PRS's exacting build standards in this limited run of 500 guitars finished in Willow Green. Each Silver Sky Defender pairs the heritage automotive finish with a matching painted headstock and a unique numbered neck plate reading “1 of 500” – a level of exclusivity rarely seen outside the Private Stock programme. The colour comes directly from Mayer's own Defender collection, translating the vehicle's signature palette to a guitar that retains every core specification of the standard Silver Sky while adding visual distinction that sets it apart from the regular production line.

The Silver Sky remains a bolt–on design co–developed by Mayer and PRS to capture the sound and response of his favourite vintage reference guitars. Three single–coil pickups deliver the chime and clarity that defined the model at launch, while the tremolo system maintains tuning stability through aggressive use. Fretwork and setup follow PRS Core standards, with hand–finishing throughout. The included ATA moulded case features custom badging specific to this Defender series, offering protection that matches the exclusivity of what's inside. With just 2,000 guitars produced across four colours worldwide, the Willow Green allocation represents a quarter of the total run.
