PRS Silver Sky Defender Ltd Edition (Portofino Red) w/Custom ATA Case

Limited to just 500 instruments worldwide in Portofino Red, this John Mayer signature model pairs the player's love of vintage Land Rover Defender colours with PRS's take on the bolt–on electric guitar. The finish extends to a matching painted headstock – a detail reserved for select limited Silver Sky releases – while a unique neck plate inscribed with 'Portofino Red' and '1 of 500' marks each guitar's place in the run. Included is a custom ATA moulded case with Defender badging, protecting what is fundamentally a Silver Sky developed around the sound, feel, and response of the vintage single–coil guitars that inspired Mayer and PRS.

The signature use of contrast seen on classic Defenders – vibrant body colours paired with contrasting roofs – informed the design language across this four–colour collection, which also includes Arles Blue, Willow Green, and Sandglow Yellow. Each colour was drawn from heritage Defender finishes, with Arles Blue taken directly from Mayer's own vintage 4x4. The bolt–on neck construction, 635mm scale length, and vintage–voiced pickups remain unchanged from the core Silver Sky platform, delivering the clarity and response PRS and Mayer refined over years of development.
