Product Information

This limited-edition SE Silver Sky arrives in Petra Copper, one of four contemporary Defender colours selected from a palette of over 900 historic finishes. The collaboration between John Mayer and PRS brings the iconic aesthetic of Defender vehicles to the SE Silver Sky platform, pairing bold new finishes with a black pickguard–a first for the Silver Sky model. Each guitar ships with a custom gig bag and features a unique neck plate exclusive to this run, available through an order window open from September 2026 through June 2027.

The SE Silver Sky Defender retains the bolt-on neck construction and player-focused design that defines the Silver Sky series. The black pickguard creates a striking contrast against the Petra Copper finish, while the core architecture delivers the tone and response established by the original model. Hardware and electronics remain consistent with standard SE Silver Sky specifications, prioritising playability and reliability across extended stage use. The custom neck plate distinguishes this limited run from the core SE Silver Sky lineup.

The Defender Color Collection positions the SE Silver Sky as a workhorse instrument with contemporary visual character. The Petra Copper finish draws from decades of automotive colour history, translating materials-based inspiration into a guitar that balances classic construction with modern aesthetics. The included custom gig bag provides protection tailored to this specific limited run, while the bolt-on neck design ensures the familiar feel and response expected from the SE Silver Sky platform.
