Product Information
This limited–edition SE Silver Sky arrives in Carpathian Grey, one of four finishes drawn from the contemporary Defender colour palette and paired with a black pickguard for the first time in the Silver Sky line. A collaboration between John Mayer and PRS, the SE Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition translates the feel and playability of the core Silver Sky model into a visually distinctive package inspired by Mayer's passion for Defender vehicles. The finish selection process drew from over 900 Defender colours spanning decades of history, landing on four modern hues that give the SE Silver Sky fresh character while maintaining its purpose as a player's guitar. Each instrument ships with a custom gig bag and a unique neck plate specific to this run.
The SE Silver Sky Defender retains the bolt–on neck construction and hardware specification that define the model's response and tuning stability. The black pickguard contrasts sharply with the Carpathian Grey finish, marking a departure from traditional Silver Sky aesthetics while preserving the tonal foundation and ergonomic design Mayer developed with PRS. Available through an order window running from September 15, 2026, through June 30, 2027, this limited edition maintains the build quality required for consistent stage performance. The SE series construction delivers the Silver Sky experience at an accessible price point without compromising the playability and sonic character that players expect from the model.
