Protection Racket's 18" × 14" bass drum case (model 1418–00) uses semi–rigid Propadd P2 foam construction that resists collapse when empty, simplifying drum entry and exit during setup and teardown. At under 3.5 kilos, the case prioritises portability without sacrificing structural integrity–a critical balance for touring drummers and session players who move equipment frequently between venues and studios.

The case accommodates an 18" × 14" shell with internal dimensions of 21½" × 17½", providing clearance for lugs, tension rods, and bearing edges. This capacity sits firmly in the mid–range of Protection Racket's 27–model bass case lineup, making it suitable for standard fusion and rock setups. The rigid foam structure maintains its shape during transport whilst remaining lightweight enough for daily use without fatigue.
