Product Information

Pearl's Bobby Allende Signature fiberglass bongos bring Latin percussion tradition into modern hands with a construction philosophy centred on durability and tonal consistency. The 7" and 8.5" pairing delivers a compact, portable setup suited to studio sessions, live performance, and rehearsal spaces where acoustic percussion needs reliability without compromise. Fiberglass shells resist humidity and temperature fluctuation far better than traditional wood, making these instruments stable across venue and climate conditions.

Each drum features an invisible seam construction that reinforces structural integrity whilst maintaining clean aesthetics. The shells are fitted with Contour Crown rims–engineered for even head tension and predictable tuning stability–paired with Remo Fiberskyn 3 drumheads. This combination yields warm, resonant tones with quick attack and controlled sustain. The 7" and 8.5" sizing creates natural harmonic separation ideal for traditional Cuban and Latin voicings, whilst the fiberglass material contributes brightness and projection suitable for amplified or mixed ensemble contexts.
