Product Information
PDP's CentreStage series represents a deliberate step up from entry–level budget kits, built on the philosophy that shell construction and hardware precision matter from day one. The 5–piece, 20” bass drum configuration (model PDCE2015KT) uses 100% poplar shells – a material choice that yields warm low–end response and balanced resonance across the kit. DW's engineering heritage underpins this offering, delivering professional–grade tension rod technology at an intermediate price point.
The 45–degree bearing edge shapes the drum's round, mellow tonality while the True–Pitch tension rods deliver 20% more threads per square inch, enabling stable and repeatable tuning across all shells. Tom configuration spans 7×10” and 8×12” mounted pieces with a 12×14” floor tom, whilst the 5×14” snare sits atop DW's precision hardware. Telescoping spurs on the kick drum eliminate creep during sustained playing. The complete package pairs 13” hi–hats and 15” crash–ride brass cymbals with full hardware, throne and sticks.
The royal blue sparkle finish distinguishes this variant among six available options, whilst the inclusion of a dedicated kick drum pedal, hi–hat and cymbal stands, plus snare stand ensures out–of–the–box functionality. Drummers moving beyond starter kits will appreciate the combination of shell materials, bearing edge geometry and DW tension rods–technology that typically appears only in higher–tier configurations.
