Product Information
A clear, glassy ping sits on top of a dry, slightly dark layer of harmonic wash, and that contrast defines the Paiste 18" Signature Fast Crash. Developed with Stewart Copeland of The Police, this medium-volume, heavy-weight crash has a fairly narrow range and a clean mix. It hits quickly, speaks without fuss and stays out of the way of the rest of the kit.
Heavy weight gives the Signature Fast Crash a controllable feel under the stick, so accents land with definition instead of washing out the groove. The bell is tight and deep, with enough bite to cut through when the part calls for it. The raw, melodic tone suits playing that depends on clear stick work, from tight pop and rock to dry studio sessions where a crash needs to punctuate rather than swamp the mix.
