Product Information

The PSTX Cajon Crash brings Paiste's Swiss cymbal engineering to the world of unplugged and hybrid percussion setups. This 16" crash is designed specifically for hand–playing alongside cajons, djembes, and acoustic drum configurations where volume control matters. Its thin construction and unique surface treatment deliver fast attack and short sustain, making it responsive enough to play with fingertips yet capable of handling sticks when the music demands more projection.

The cymbal's distinctive hammered surface features dry, earthy overtones that sit naturally in acoustic contexts without overwhelming other instruments. Paiste has voiced this crash to emphasise fundamental tones over excessive shimmer, ensuring clear articulation whether struck with hands, brushes, or lightweight sticks. The 16" diameter provides enough surface area for expressive hand techniques while remaining manageable in close–quarters performance environments. Its lightweight construction means the cymbal opens up quickly with minimal force, responding to dynamic playing from quiet finger taps through to full palm strikes.

Features
  • 16" diameter crash cymbal designed for cajon and acoustic applications
