MOTU BPM 1.5 is a beat-production instrument that marries the tactile immediacy of classic drum machines with modern sampling and synthesis. The core appeal is speed: load a groove, trigger sounds from a pad controller or keyboard, and the software quantizes your timing to the grid. It sits between a gear emulator and a loop library, designed for producers who want hands-on control without menu diving.

The 19GB library spans urban, R&B, hip-hop, techno, house, rock and more, all recorded at 24-bit/96kHz. Beat Box Anthology recreates 80 drum machines from the TR-808 and TR-909 through to the Linn 9000 and SP-1200, sorted by analog, digital and classic categories. You get 200+ drum kits, 100+ multi-sampled instruments, and a built-in drum synth for designing custom sounds. Effects processing, unlimited layers per pad, and the ability to load MachFive, Ethno, Electric Keys and UVI sounds expand the sonic palette. Audio and MIDI export let you slice individual hits or export full songs. BPM 1.5 runs standalone or as an AAX, AU, VST or RTAS plug-in on macOS and Windows.
