Meinl Sonic Energy Ritual Drum 14" Moon Phases

The Meinl Sonic Energy Ritual Drum stands as a modern take on the traditional frame drum, built for sound practitioners and experimental musicians alike. At 14 inches in diameter and weighing just 583g, this poplar wood drum combines tactile warmth with the practical advantage of a True Feel synthetic head—mimicking natural drumhead response while offering durability and consistent tone across repeated strikes.

Finished in dark walnut brown and adorned with moon phase symbols, the Ritual Drum features a cord cross handle for secure grip during play. The True Feel synthetic head delivers deep, resonant tones suited to grounding sessions and sound baths, while the included mallet enables expressive exploration from rhythmic patterns to heartbeat-like pulses. Construction uses vegan-friendly materials throughout, and the 35.6cm diameter provides ample playing surface for both controlled strikes and flowing, meditative soundscapes.

Frame drums excel in contexts where sustained resonance and tonal depth matter more than sharp attack—think ambient recording, live sound healing, studio layering, or ritualistic performance. The Ritual Drum's synthetic head removes weather sensitivity and maintenance demands while retaining the acoustic character that makes frame drums essential for producers and performers working in experimental, world music, and electronic genres.
