The Meinl Sonic Energy Planetary Tuned Gong Mercury 32" is a handcrafted nickel silver gong made in Germany and tuned to the specific frequency of Mercury at 141.27 Hz (C#2). Based on Hans Cousto's "The Cosmic Octave" calculations, this 80 cm diameter gong translates planetary motion into audible sound. The hand-hammered surface creates deep, resonant tones that work exceptionally well for sound therapy and meditation practices.
The nickel silver construction delivers tonal precision across a wide frequency spectrum, with the Mercury tuning calibrated to 448.50 Hz at A4/a' 440 Hz reference pitch.
