Product Information

The Meinl Sonic Energy Pala Shaker Large is a handcrafted percussion instrument built from pala seed nutshells strung on a comfortable wrist strap. Designed for sound therapy, meditation, and ambient soundscape work, this shaker delivers a soft, gentle tone that sits well in low-volume settings without dominating the mix. At 168 grams, it's light enough for extended sessions yet substantial enough to produce articulate resonance.

Pala seed nutshells provide a naturally warm, organic timbre—smooth and sustained rather than sharp or piercing. The thick wrist strap allows one-handed operation, freeing your other hand for additional instruments or recording gear. Handcrafted in Indonesia, each unit benefits from traditional construction methods that ensure consistent shell selection and secure attachment. The design lends itself to layering within electronic productions, underscoring relaxation tracks, or adding textural depth to studio recordings without competing for frequency space.
