The Meinl Sonic Energy Origin Series Metal Singing Bowl Set brings three handcrafted bronze bowls together for sound therapy, meditation, and energy work. Each bowl – weighing 600g, 700g, and 900g – is forged from a special bronze alloy in India, left with an untreated surface that retains the raw character of the metal. The set includes matching covers, felt rings, and a large mallet with a small felt tip for coaxing out the layered overtones these bowls are known for.
The bowls measure 13cm, 14cm, and 17cm in diameter respectively, offering distinct fundamental tones that complement one another when played in sequence or simultaneously. When struck softly, the bronze alloy generates multi–layered overtones that sustain for over a minute, with vibrations that continue well after the initial attack fades. The untreated finish connects players directly to the elemental properties of the metal, producing a rich harmonic spectrum that evolves as the sound decays.
